Terms of use

The fair print.

These terms apply when you use the CycleTron app for iPhone and Apple Watch and its online services. They are written to be read. If anything is unclear, ask us.

About these terms

CycleTron is provided by CycleTron Enterprise (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at cycletronenterprise@gmail.com.

By using CycleTron you agree to these terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which these terms supplement. If the two conflict on how Apple handles the app, Apple's agreement applies. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your information.

You must be at least 16 to use CycleTron, or the minimum age required in your country, if that is higher.

The app

CycleTron records rides on your iPhone, with an optional Apple Watch. It shows live metrics, saves rides to your devices and, if you allow it, to Apple Health. It also offers routes, goals and badges.

Recording works without an account and without an internet connection. Online features, such as optional backup, need an account and a connection.

Features may change as the app improves. We will not remove access to rides already saved on your devices.

Ride safely

  • Your safety comes first. Follow the rules of the road, keep your attention on your surroundings, and only interact with your devices when it is safe to do so.
  • CycleTron is not a medical device and not an emergency service. Do not use it for medical decisions, and call your local emergency number if you need help.
  • GPS, sensor and calculated values can be incomplete or inaccurate. Maps and directions do not guarantee that a road or path is safe, legal or suitable for cycling.

Accounts

An account is optional. You can create one with Sign in with Apple or Google, and you are responsible for keeping your devices and sign-in secure.

You can delete your account at any time under You → Settings → Account and data. Deleting your account removes your cloud data, as the privacy policy describes. It does not delete rides stored on your devices or in Apple Health, and it does not cancel an Apple subscription.

Premium and payments

CycleTron is free to use, and Premium adds optional features. Premium is sold through the App Store as a monthly or yearly auto-renewable subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the App Store in your currency before you buy.

  • Billing: Apple charges payment to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
  • Renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and length unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel in your Apple Account settings, or in CycleTron under You → Settings → Subscription.
  • Free trials: if a trial is offered, it turns into a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before.
  • Lifetime: a lifetime purchase does not cancel an existing subscription. Cancel the subscription yourself to avoid another renewal.
  • Refunds: Apple handles refunds under its policies. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Your statutory rights are not affected.
  • Restoring: purchases belong to your Apple Account. Restore them on each device from You → Settings → Subscription.

We may change Premium features or prices in the future. Price changes to an active subscription follow Apple's rules and notifications.

Your rides and data

Your rides and the content you create belong to you. You allow us to store and process them only as needed to provide the features you use, such as backup. Our privacy policy explains the details.

You can export your cloud data and delete your account at any time.

Fair use

Do not misuse CycleTron or its services. For example, do not:

  • try to access other people's information;
  • disrupt or probe our systems without permission;
  • reverse engineer the service where the law does not allow it;
  • use it to break the law or the rights of others.

Report security issues to us privately.

Other services

CycleTron works with services from other companies, under their own terms and privacy policies. These include Apple Maps, Apple Health, Sign in with Apple, Google sign-in, the App Store and our backend provider, Supabase.

We are not responsible for those services, but we choose them carefully.

Warranty and liability

We work hard to make CycleTron reliable. Even so, the app is provided as it is and as available, to the extent the law allows.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data you could reasonably have kept, such as rides you did not save or back up.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Nothing affects your mandatory rights as a consumer.

Changes and ending

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will tell you in the app before it applies; if you keep using CycleTron, the new terms apply.

You can stop using CycleTron at any time. We may suspend accounts that seriously breach these terms. Where the law requires, we will tell you first and explain why.

If we ever discontinue an online service, we will give reasonable notice and a way to export your cloud data.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Romania. If you are a consumer living in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country, and you can bring claims in your local courts.

If something goes wrong, please contact us first and we will try to resolve it quickly.
